In Hemmingway's "Hills Like White Elephants", there is a girl name "Jig". Does anyone know the meaning of the name? The story was written in the 1920's in Spain.

about the pet name. My great-grandpa was called "Jigs", but his real name was Vacil. I think it's just a nickname.
