How to find out the meaning of an unusual name

Hello! I have never found my name- Adelon- in any of the name books or on any of the sites. There are lots of similar variations- but never specifically "Adelon." I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a way to find out the meaning of it? I wish there was some sort of etymology service out there somewhere! I would love to know more about it and be able to actually have an answer when people ask me what my name means. Thanks ad hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Are you male or female? Have you asked your parents where they found the name and why they gave it to you?

When i first saw the name "adelon", the name sounded familiar to me.
There is a tv-movie with the german title "Das Geheimnis der Lady Adelon", in english "The Inheritance".It is based om a novel written by Louisa May Alcott.
"Adelon" is the surname of the heroine.

Adelon is a nickname of Adèle, made with the addition of the diminutive suffix -on, as in Marie>Marion, Madeleine>Madelon, etc.
