jisha actually means very soft and tender .
literally in terms of english language it may not mean anything but it also doesn't mean that we could generalise everything and say it off that this word is meaningless.
if you do some deep study in encyclopedias ancient books and all you could find the literal meaning of this word in japan as above stated.
