Looking for info...
I named my second daughter Allorah Renee. I got the name Allorah from the movie Willow, but I changed the spelling, i think. Anyhow I was wondering if anyone had any information on what the name may mean, or maybe where it came from, or any references to it being used other than in Willow. Ive looked for it on lots of name sites but can't find it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated :) and thanks.

Hi There, I was also looking into using the name Allorah for my daughter. That was also the spelling I was looking into using. I have yet to find anything with that paticular spelling, how ever, "Alora" is apparenlty A-Laura which gets its meaning from "Laurel". Laruel is a bush/tree that depending on what you read about it can mean a lot of different things. One in paticular is about a "peace tree". In the same manor as an olive branch. It has small dark green leaves with berries.Hope that may help! I think the name is beautiful, I too am a Willow fan!

There is a similar Australian Aboriginal name - Allora, which means "place of the swamp"
