I know there are others out there who spell their name the same as I do, but I was kinda curious how many? And if anyone can give me a meaning for it that would be cool too.

Taryn is an alteration of Tara, with the popular suffix -yn. It's probably a variant of that. Tara means 'hill' ('elevated place' on this site, which amounts to the same thing), so Taryn and Tahryn would have the same meaning.
