Well...I'm French.
Cocotte, pronounced "kokot", is an affective nickname generally given by a granny to her granddaughter, or a relation like that. The expression "ma cocotte" to say "darling" is very frequent.
A "cocotte" is also a baby-hen, and a paper-hen (origami style). Also it is a casserole dish. Besides it's also a loose woman, but this sense is now archaic. Many significations I know ^^
Coquette is an adjective meaning pretty or well-kept, about a village or a hat or something...and well turned-out for a person. It may have meaned Courtisane (the girl), but yonks and yonks ago. :]Anyone is a first name.Hope I helped you.
Bye, Andria

In French Cocotte is pronounced "kokot"... It means a courtisan and is not a name at all.
The name pronounced koket is Coquette. It can be a nickname, but it has a derogatory meaning too. It means a superficial sexy girl, almost a courtisan too...
