second child coming, can't think of a name as original as for the first one?
I gave my first son a French name (never heard of here in Ireland and still not that common in France). Everybody seems to get used to it quickly (at school, etc.) which is good. By the way, he's called Cyriak (greek etymologically)but I am French.
A friend in France reckons that i should give my second child (due in the autumn, gender unknown) as original a name, otherwise it would not be fair.
What do you think?

Ireland is a country I'd LOVE to visit one day. I'm almost as obsessed about learning about Ireland as I am about learning origins of names! That said, I looked in different baby books and online for names that are unusual and that have Irish meanings, and some I just made up. I know when I have kids (at least 6 years from now as I am only 19) I'll have origional and special names. Here are a few of my favorites:
GIRLS: Breena, Shaelyn, Ryann, Mabry, and Fayla
BOYS: Phelan, Keegan , Logan , Garret, and Nolan
I hope this helps.

My name is Ryann..and often it's hard having a name here in America that not many have. Growing up in school, I remember always being picked on, and when substitutes came for school, they'd say, "Mr.McLock" thinking I was a boy. But obviously, looking at me, it wasn't. But also, I felt special, and still do, because you know when your in a locker room, and someone screams, "Ryann!" it has to be you, or when your in an doctors office. And if your around boys, it may get confusing with Brian, Ryan or even Ron. Good luck if you choose it.. I get alot more compliments now that I'm older, but children will be children.

Then tell me what it is (or tell me a few of your favorites, so I have lots to work with), and also give me the last name that your child will bear when he/she is born.I shall attempt to anagram a first and middle name for you (of either gender) out of all that. What about Autumn ? That's a pretty name. And I know it may seem wierd to you, but I've always liked JonBenet. And for a boy what about Kerien? I love that name.
Just a few suggestions.Sarahjeanne
