Re: Behin

The Iranian/Farsi name Behin seems to be used in Arabic as well, as Baheen (at least the transliteration is given as thus).
I could not find a good source for a meaning of either name.
What I did find on several sites of unknown quality is a meaning of "best", e.g. here:

An online Farsi dictionary that I checked did not list a word بهین behin at all, however...

The -in may be a suffix. I know no Farsi, but it does not decline adjectives by gender, though the Avestan language did, in Hindi, there is a feminine -in; but bahin itself is a Sanskrit origin word meaning sister. The Farsi comparative behtar in the sense of more/better is used in Hindi, and beh itself exists in Farsi dictionaries.
Of course, Farsi words have been borrowed in Turkic etc., so all this is rather conjectural.
