Re: Ethnic Origin of a Last Name
Brock is usually an English surname, derived either from Old English words meaning "brook" or "badger". However, according to Hanks & Hodges it can also be an Ashkenazic Jewish surname derived as an acronym from Hebrew Bar "son of" cobmined with any male name starting with K.
