Re: my name
The "gen-" element of your name probably derives from Celtic "gwen-", meaning "white" or "fair". However, I've most commonly seen the translation "white wave" given to the names Jennifer or Guinevere, altho there seems to be some difference of opinion on that as well.Hey Gang - has anyone encountered "Genice" or a spelling variant thereof as a standard Celtic name, and does the meaning suggested seem valid?- Da.

My baby book says that the name "Genice" is another form of Janice . I also beleive, like Davidh, that the name is derived from Guinevere , which means "white wave" or "white phantom". I hope that thhis helps!
