Name Meaning and/or Origin
I am sponsoring a girl in Bolivia whose name is Deysi. It is a female name, and her ethnicity is Aymara (an indigenous group of South America). She speaks Spanish, and is Christian. I am unsure whether the name is Aymara, Hispanic, or Biblical, and I am unable to find the meaning. I do not know the pronunciation of the name either.

This is just a re-spelling of the English name Daisy for Spanish-speaking people. You can verify this e.g. by searching for "Deysi nombre Daisy" with Google.

I'm in the US and live in an area with a high population of Hispanics. I've known more than one Deysi (a phonetic spelling of Daisy). More in the adult generation (my generation or older) than current children.
