Oebele
This is another name that crops up regularly in my Frisian genealogy. It is also a male name. Any other information would be greatly appreciated.

I found the time to look up Oebele in Tammena, Namengebung in Ostfriesland, and he explains this name as a simplified form of Odbald. It is related to the names like Obbe or Obbo and can also be found under this Lemma in Seibicke, Historisches Deutsches Vornamenbuch.

Thanks for the information. Another genealogy mystery solved!

I can only think a Frisian form of Abel, or a diminutive of Ebbe (an old abbreviation of Norse Asbjorn, with umlaut of A to E, that also appears in Old English).
