Perhaps it is the masculine equivalent of:
https://www.behindthename.com/name/adisa/submittedHowever, the Bosnian form of Arabic *hadith* is *hadis*, so it is odd that the names Adis and Adisa are more common than Hadis and Hadisa. User Sofia (from Croatia) might be able to shed some light on this.

One Bosnian source I found claims that Adis is derived from Arabic verb ‘adise’ (ar. عَدِسَ), meaning to be strong, endurable. No idea if this is correct.
