ArchivesIs there any way where you can see the newest names?
I was just wondering. If there is a way, that will be really helpful.

There are two parts of this site with new names each
A) The main database. It gets updates from time to time with batches of new names. Search this message board for "update" to find the latest updates. Mike documents which names he added, changed, or deleted.
B) The submitted names. There are submission at every time possible and you can navigate to the additions in the following way: Go to the main page of submitted names (It is the last item in the "Names" tab). In the upper right corner you find a small blue widget with several quick links. Clicking on additions shows you the newest names added. Be aware that those newest names may contain some prank submissions, bogus names, and duplicates of names already in the database.

There is a much more efficient way for finding the latest additions to the main database. Simply go to the home page at www.behindthename.com, scroll down to the bottom left corner of the screen and click on Updated November 20, 2020 (the date is of course subject to change). This will bring you to an overview of the latest changes to not only the main database, but also other parts of Behind the Name (including the Submitted Names Database!). Here is the direct link:

That part is only visible to editors. Regular members can find the latest submitted names with the following two methods:
1) the method described above, as the top of the What's New page features a link to the latest submitted names.
2) go to the home page of the Submitted Names Database at https://www.behindthename.com/submit/ and click on Latest below the search bar.
