Pashtun/Persian name Masi
Mustafa Nayyem, who is Pashtun (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustafa_Nayyem), has a brother, whose name is Masi. I've found some evidence about similarly sounding Persian names Maseeh/Maseh, which seem to be Arabic forms of Messiah.
BTW, article on Masih Alinejad (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masih_Alinejad) says that her name (actually it's a pseudonym) also means "Messiah". Is there actually a clear link between all these name forms?
(I have no connection to Persian or Afghan culture and look forward to getting answer from anyone who is competent in this field).

Hello,
a friendly busdriver of mine is named Masih. He is from Iran and explained his name like this: Mashi in Farsi -> Messiah -> Christus -> Christian in German, so the German version of his name would be Christian.
That's no scientific explanation but I still hope it helps :).
