Kaos
My daughter has a classmate with the name. I thought it was pronounced like chaos, however it's pronounced like kay-oos. I'm not sure if this a Greek pronunciation, an incorrect pronunciation, or a name unrelated to chaos.

Yes, this name is of Greek origin. Its original spelling was Χάος (Chaos). Chaos was a primordial being who gave origin to the first dieties - Eros, Gea, Tartaros, Herebos and Nyx. The initial letter was pronounced as we pronounce the ch sound of the word "Bach".
In this case, Kaos has been written with the K letter, so the correct pronunciation should be KA-os.
