Haydee
The name Haydee as mention in other posts appears in the Dumas novel, The Count of Montecristo, the princess in the novel has this name.
The name Haydee
From the Latin name Haya, meaning "Life"
Doesn't walk in anyone's shadow,
Knows communication is the key to relationships
Concentrates on experiencing the joys in a day
When she gets upset, she quickly calms down
Constantly building confidence in herself
sincere, honest, loyal
One idea builds upon another
Overall, she's just plain great.I love my name, my father did wonderful.

Please provide a reference for Haya as (a) a name used in Latin (which doesn't have the letter Y) and (b) meaning 'life'. Which Latin word meaning 'life' could Haya replace: vita (physical) or anima (spiritual, the life of the mind)? And why would it exist as a synonym? I am afraid that this is not in fact accurate, but I'd be happy if you can prove me wrong.

Not the OP and not Latin but Hebrew, Chaya is a female name meaning “life”. Since most non-Jewish Americans can’t pronounce Chaya, it comes out as Haya. That could be where that claim came from?

Maybe. But surely most Americans, Jewish or whatever, can manage to use the Internet as a reference source. And as for the rest of OP's post, it has no place on a Facts board!
