For Mike: Esha & Asha
I was looking at these names today and was shocked to see that there’s nothing tagging them as related names to each other or originating from the same root. To my understanding, Esha is essentially the an alternate spelling/pronunciation of Asha (1), the Hindi girls name, from the same Sanskrit root of āśā and with the same meaning of “wish” or “desire”. Is there any reason these names aren’t connected on the site?

They look like they might be connected, but I cannot find anything concrete to link them. The Sanskrit roots are एष् (eṣ) for Esha and आशा (āśā) for Asha. Note that the consonant is different for each -- these were actually distinct sounds in Sanskrit.Maybe someone with some familiarity with Sanskrit can describe if and how they are related?
