The Name Rosche--Again....
Hello, I wrote a while ago and asked if anyone knew anything about the name Rosche...It's my middle name. There is an accent over the E that gives it that A sound.....Does anyone know what it means? There were some responses that said it's German but in German is it pronounced Row-Shay, the way I pronounce it? I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Maybe it was influenced by the French Rocher? As in Yves Rocher? Rosché as a made-up spelling?*****

Why did your parents give you this name? With the pronunciation you have given, it looks to me like it could be their own invention blending the sounds of names like Rosa, Renee, and Shae. A German surname spelled Rosche would be pronounced in two syllables, but with the accent on the first, something like "ROSH-eh".

I just got off the phone with my mom and she told me that someone she used to be friends with came up with it. Maybe I've been pronouncing it wrong all this time...I don't know....
