My aunt's name is Merlaine, and I really like the name and I wanted to add it to the database. It's a name my grandpa created using his and his best friend's names. His name is Murland, and his friend Lane. The only problem I have is I would need to add the name Murland to the database too and I can't find any information on it. I only know that my grandpa was named after the doctor that delivered him. What shold I do?

Murland is an Irish surname, which according to MacLysaght's The Surnames of Ireland is MacMurghalain in Gaelic, ultimately deriving from words meaning "sea" and "valor".
