My husband suggested naming our baby girl Kelly.
Kind of strange since he dated a Kelly right before we met. They were even going to move in together before they broke up. He doesn't understand my being hurt. What do you think?

My mom wanted to name me Leigh when I was born. She dated a guy named Lee before my dad. He didn't like the name, needless to say, but I would much rather have been named Leigh than Suzanne, which is what I was named. Anyway, perhaps you can compromise on a name that sounds like Kelly, such as Kiley, or Keely. I could understand not wanting to have your child named after an ex-girlfriend, but MAYBE he truely just likes the name.

I think you have every right to be hurt. I can only image my husband coming to me and saying, "I want to name our first girl Anna." That was the girl right before me. (Lucky for me...he can't stand her now)
