I think it's awful. Jillian is such a utilitarian sort of name to me that any kind of fancifying it seems kind of like a joke. Like putting a hat on a donkey or something. There's just not much that I can see being done to Jillian to make it anything other than what it is. :-/
For some frills on a J name, I'd look around for something less stodgy like Jelena, Jolana, Janina, Jacinta, Jocasta, Josefina, or whatever else (and I know that I may as well not even be suggesting some of them as J names given how the Js are pronounced, but I tried :-) ).
