Indian and Arabic, though two completely different names, different meaning, different pronunciation.
Arabic surname and given name, male and female, pronounced rajAA, meaning hope.
Indian surname, male given name and title, pronounced RAAJa. As a title, "king", it should not be taken literally, though I think it usually identifies someone as being "high caste". Raj, Rai, Rao, Ray, Roy, are all variants, and all found as surnames.
