In Scotland I have never met or heard of anyone named Brígh, Bree or Brie. Actually I suspect Bree and Brie are American inventions, perhaps Irish inspired. I do know a woman named Breege, which could conceivably be Anglicised from Brigh but I think it's more likely connected to Brigid.Certainly the (Irish Gaelic) meaning given on this site for Brígh is correct, because I know the Scottish Gaelic brìgh has roughly the same meaning.Elinor
