I like Marion very much. It's a decent name, uncommon, and underwhelming in a good way. I think I like it for a middle name moreso than for a first name.
As for the spelling, I'm partial to Marion. Marian looks off to me, but perhaps that's only because I'm so used to seeing the Marion spelling.
