When you post images on the internet, it's with the understanding that others may use for personal entertainment and enjoyment. It comes with making them public. It's like making a copy of a VHS tape or CD - totally okay for personal entertainment. You're not allowed to profit from it, which is slightly different.

Also, there's plenty of stock archives that have free images or images in the public domain - the rules can always be altered to only using images from the free stock archives if that's the one problem point.
