I also don't like it. Even though it's a classic it seems outdated. Kind of like Stephanie or Susan (even though I think Susan will come back soon). I think the name Stephen/Steven needs a break. For about 20 more years (during that time it should decrease in popularity) until it can be revived again. At the moment it just seems outdated, old and kind of boring. Very boring actually.I associate it with uhm...nothing. It is just so popular that I can't even imagine what a Stephen would look like. A Stephen could be anyone. Which is kind of sad. A bit like John or Jennifer.I absolutely dislike Steven, though. I can stand Stephen but not Steven. And I hate the nn's Steve and Stevie.
