Lilia Greenebaum is a Polish-American Jew on her mother’s side and a German/Dutch-American Jew on her father’s side. She was born in America, and her parents were the first and the second generation to be born in America. She has two older sisters and one younger brother. Lilia grew up in Pennsylvania. Russel comes from an old money Anglo-Saxon family who has a history of lawyers and businessmen and he has one sibling, a younger sister Marjorie. Russel grew up in Chicago. Lilia and Russel met in undergraduate school at Northwestern University. Russel was learning law and Lilia was a Literature major. They met at the school’s library where Lilia was working to pay for school. She also was working at the writing center. Lilia and Russel were good friends for many years. Russel went straight to graduate law school at Columbia University, while Lilia got a job as a librarian and had some other odd jobs. During a road trip to visit Russel and see the coast, Lilia went to the Library of Congress. She realized that working there was her dream job. She loved to be around some of the oldest books in the country. So from some monetary help and encouragement from Russel, Lilia got into the University of Maryland’s Library Science Graduate program. During this time Russel also moved to Maryland to be near the nation’s capitol. After getting a job with a large firm and working there a year Russel became depressed. He disliked that he seemed to be helping out large companies who really needed the least help. He realized one day that there are many more people out there who really need help and who can’t afford it. So Russel quit his job and went back to school to learn more about human rights law. He had to pay for his education himself this time because his father had a hard time understanding why he would want to go back to school after already having a well paying job. Russel and Lilia one day realized that they both were interested in more than friendship and then started dating. Soon after Lilia graduated and got an internship at the Library of Congress. Lilia and Russel for fun both enjoy SCA and going to Renaissance Fairs. Maryland has the second largest renaissance fair in the country. Russel proposed during an SCA meeting amongst some of their best friends. Right after finishing school Lilia and Russel got married and went on a honeymoon to Europe. It’s been a year since then and Lilia is working for the Library of Congress in a lower position and Russel is doing pro bono work and other humanitarian lawyer work. Russel has just received his trust fund and Lilia and he are looking to buy a house in Maryland, DC, or Pennsylvania. Lilia has sandy blonde hair and one eye blue, one eye brown. Russel has red-brown hair and green-hazel eyes. Lilia and Russel are both far sighted and wear glasses to read.
