I don't know the semitic languages, but nur is light in many of them. In Arabic it is نور, noon-waw-reh, but you will find similar forms also in Hebrew and Aramaic. din is Arabic for religion: دين is dal-yeh-noon, and it may be related to the Semitic root for law. Persian also has a din of Indo-european origin, meaning religion, attested in the Avestan literature as daena.The exact form of the connecting -id- will vary much more according to the language: but overall the meaning expressed is light of religion.
