My elder daughter is Lillian Scarlett Mahalia. Lillian and Mahalia are family names; we call her Scarlett, and always have. GWTW was one small factor, but I used it primarily because red is my favorite color. It's the only red name that sounds good in my ear. Ruby sounds childish and Crimson ends in -son, which did in fact deter me.
