[Opinions] Re: Almond?
I would prefer the spelling Almund, because with Almund you can at least say that it is a real given name, as in e.g. Germany and the Netherlands, Almund is a short form of Adalmund (also found spelled as Adelmund) meaning "noble protection". The name is very rare in those countries these days though, because it is considered quite old-fashioned there (like most names that are of Germanic origin).
