Agreed completely. One of my main hobbies is studying languages, so I totally get how to pronounce Walburga the original way. Saying it in American English (wall-burg-a) just really does make it less appealing.
If spelling it Valbirka in English will get people to say it right and appreciate its beauty, then I’m all for it.
