No, I don't think it would sound too out-of-place. While Dimitri is quite Slavic, it's probably one of the most internationally exposed Russian names (and Dimitri is the transliteration that probably makes the most sense in other languages, other than maybe Demetri, which is more Greek).
As it stands, I quite like the name Dimitri.
