I like it and I personally think it sounds kind of cold and calm. I like it for a boy but I think it's okay on a girl.
The reason why I wouldn't choose it is because I think it will be crazy common in a few years. Popularity doesn't matter that much to me and if it was my #1 I would still use it, but it isn't so I would rather pick another name. I think it will be in the top 20 (definitely) and possibly even as high as top 5.
Rivers is growing on me a bit, for boys and girls.
