I have a friend with this name who was born in Germany. My friend was born in the early 1970s and whilst she likes her name she said it was definitely the name of the time. There were six other girls called Nicole in her school year group.
I like it but I prefer Nicola. I have met two girls called Nicole , one Nicola, two called Nichola and one Nicoletta and all of them were born in the 70s and 80s so it seems a little dated now.
