I always thought the whole premise of this name was just odd.
It's got a pseudo-religious connotation, I guess, but not really? I don't know. I speak as a religious person and I don't see much in the way of genuine religious significance.
I don't know. I've encountered a few in my time, but never as many as one might anticipate considering the degree to which it was popular a decade ago. (It's still in the top 100, but it's birth share has dropped precipitously.)
