Well, there is a German firstname Selmar, which seems related to Solmer, but Solmer is apparently only used as a surname. Though, there are also the Scandinavian surnames Solmsen and Solmsson, suggesting the existence of the firstname Solm, which is possibly related to Anselmus, but it could be related to the German name Selmar as well.
