I think its pretty in general for the female lion :) but I wouldn't use it as a name. For a boy I would use Ariel which means Lion. Ariel is also a unisex name so it could be used for a girl and since it means Lion. I would say if you use it for a girl it would be a perfect replacement of Lioness. Or Ariella :)
