Greta is very cute, and yes, it does stand on its own. I know it's really meant to be short for Margaret, but I never heard of a Greta who was anything other than just Greta. Gretchen is also cute.
I'm not fond of Ingrid, it hasa harsh, gritty sound to me. I can only picture a scary old German lady with this name, in spite of the beautiful Ingrid Bergman. Inga is cuter.
Together, the names sound very Germanic or Noric, and for that reason Evadne would seem a bit out of place.
