Alcyone is pretty! I've never really paid much attention to it before, but now that you bring it out into the light, I like it well enough. I didn't make the alkaline association that you made. The only real problem I could see with it is that there may be a pronunciation issue, but I never consider those to be a deal-killer. I think they are fairly easily managed.
