I am mystified by the butchering of a beautiful name like Michaela. The whole point of the name is to honor someone named Michael, so why the weird spellings (Mikhaiyla, Mikayla)? I guess parents just like the -kayla sound, so they go with the name even though the full version of it is much prettier. Why not just name your daughter Kayla, then?
