My nephew is "Joey" so the thought of it on a girl is osbured to be. However, he was named after my grandma Joann "Jo", so I guess its not that weird. Ive known many girls named Jo, but not any Joeys. I prefer Josie for Josephine and Joanie for Joanna. Joseph is such a popular boys name (and always has been) that I think you will forever be correcting people with "No, Joey is a girl."
