In the middle of the night, Anna and Daniel got a horrible call: Anna's father and stepmother had both been killed in a terrible car accident. They had stipulated in their will that if anything happened to them, Anna would take custody of their only child, her half-sister Claire. Though it is a tough transition, Claire soon comes to like living with Anna and her family--she gets to know her older sister much better, and really enjoys hanging out with Lizzy and Nate.
