I just really like the name Jessamine. I like Jasmine too but Jessamine is more unusual these days. I would actually consider using it for a real child.
I don't mind Jessie but find Jessica a bit boring and it's very popular where I live.
Jess works as a good nickname for all those names.
I don't understand what you mean about the pronunciation being confused with Jasmine because that is also pronounced Jas-min not Jas-meen.
