With few exceptions, the whole list reads as a nice, normal, unspectacular set of names. I wonder if it’s because the planning and waiting that adoption involves signifies that the type of celeb to adopt is more likely to be practical, forward-thinking and selfless. Whereas any fool can and probably will have bio babies, and some can tend to think of a kid as nothing more than their next designer accessory or an extension of their wacky self.

I say this as somebody who has a bio baby. I’m not calling all of us fools. Just some. And celebs tend to live in a bubble of their own self-interest more often than not.
