When I was a kid, my mom's mare had a foal which was named Genevieve...the foal was spirited, and honestly, I was terrified of her, so...that is the impression I get from the name: lively, intimidating. It also reminds me of other moderately old fashioned, French looking, proper sounding names. Camille, Celeste, Bernadette, Vivienne.
