Personally I can't stand Marie bc it seems so lazy. Like, oh, can't think of anything, might as well use this name everyone uses! That said it is delightfully Catholic.
If it has personal meaning to you use it no matter what anyone says. I like Rosemarie because it stands out from the crowd.
