It's a beautiful name.
I've not heard of the singer.
I like the way
Anastasia looks, better.
But I like the sound of
Anastacia better - it forces a different pronunciation.
Anastasia would be Anna-STAY-zha here, ending like
Asia, as in 'anesthesia.'
But
Anastacia couldn't be pronounced -zha, it would have to be -sha. Yay!
I like the name better when the third A is pronounced like in Spanish, and there's no word STAY in it. But -STAY-sha is much better than -STAYZ-ya.
The -cia ending looks unfashionable, like
Marcia,
Patricia,
Alicia.
I met a young
Anastasia a few years ago. She'd be born around 2006. She was from another country, I don't know which, but I got a Russian or Eastern
Europe vibe.
