It's masculine to me, it makes me think of a Canadian ice dancer (a guy) =P ... but it's one of
those boy names that I don't think many American guys would name their son. Like
Paris. I guess I must've heard of it on women somewhere? I can't remember ever seeing a female
Patrice. But I think it's just the -eess sound of the ending that sounds femme to people who haven't met male bearers, as in

Clarice,
Therese. So where I'm from, a lot of people would expect it to be female.
