No, it's not too old fashioned, although it is somewhat old fashioned sounding & looking. I was friends with a Mary in high school, and I know a Mary who's a lawyer with 2 kids... so I have no problem picturing it on people of any age. It seems very conservative in a way, and yes, it's very simple and classic .. but not too much so. It's a classic because it's beautiful. I like it. - chazda
